Trying to be frugal in a city like Miami is tough. This is a blog for those of us who want to take control of our finances and stop spending mindlessly. My personal financial odyssey started late in life and I wish "I knew then..." and even now I wish I knew more! Applying mindfulness to every aspect of our lives is important, but this is my effort to bring mindfulness to the financial aspect of my life.
IT ALL BEGINS WITH A BOOK...
The Ultimate Cheapskate's Road Map to True Riches by Jeff Yeager
The Simplicity Reader by Elaine St. James
All Your Worth by Dr. Elizabeth Warren and Amelia Warren Tyagi
Die Broke by Stephen M. Pollan
The Overspent American by Juliet B. Schor
Get Your Assets in Gear! by Jan Dahlin Geiger
Personal Finance for Dummies by Eric Tyson
Money...It's Not Just for Rich People! by Janine Bolon
The 9 Steps to Financial Freedom by Suze Orman
The Millionaire in You by Michael LeBoeuf
The Complete Tightwad Gazette by Amy Dacyczyn
Your Money or Your Life by Joe Dominguez and Vicki Robin
Basically your typical INTJ, weird, solitary, but happily married. My basic needs in life are love, choice, freedom and peace of mind. Most of the time I have all of these, so I consider myself a lucky, lucky woman!
